About the role:
India’s leading Educational ERP Software company, a Deloitte Fast 50 Company, and ET Growth Champion, Serosoft is looking for a Senior Technical Manager with strong innovation skills. As a Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and facilitating Agile development processes and ensuring the successful delivery of software projects. Your technical expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, Cloud technologies, and MySQL will be invaluable in guiding the development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Java programming, Spring Framework, Hibernate ORM, Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), and MySQL database management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and quality assurance, to foster effective communication and collaboration. Remove any impediments that hinder the team’s progress.
  • Project Management: Track and monitor project progress, ensuring that the team delivers commitments within the agreed-upon timelines. Identify potential risks and proactively take measures to mitigate them.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, helping them make sound technical decisions and overcome challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and organization. Encourage experimentation, innovation, and the adoption of new technologies and best practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Promote a culture of delivering high-quality software by championing testing practices, code reviews, and other quality assurance measures.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all necessary project documentation is maintained, including user stories, technical specifications, and architectural diagrams.
  • Agile Leadership: Lead and mentor Agile development teams in the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile principles, practices, and methodologies. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies with constant improvement.

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering with 14+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience leading technical teams.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Technical Manager, leading Agile development teams and successfully delivering software projects.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate ORM, Cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum, and Agile tools like Jira or similar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and empowering team members to achieve their best potential.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities, coupled with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including design reviews, code reviews, testing methodologies, and continuous integration.
